Videos: Multitasking on iPhone

Filed in: Gadgets, Video Clips — April 9th, 2010

So, Apple iPhone OS 4 supports multitasking on iPhone but how does it work?

Basically, you double-click the Home button to bring up the multitask apps dock where your running app icons are sitting. You tab on the app icon to switch to it. You can swipe left/right for more other running apps.

Here are TWO videos demonstrate how multitasking work on iPhone:

What do you think? Do you like it?

P.S. You can’t have it on your iPhone, yet. It is the iPhone OS 4 beta for developers.

whats different with single click Home button then slide and click other app? the only one that i can see is the game stop and pause without resetting level.

single click Home button “quit” an app. whereas double click home button is “switching” and not quit.

Apps that support iPhone OS 4 multitasking could do background tasks like music, voip, upload files, etc.
