On 6th January 2005, w.bloggar, one of the popular free windows blog tool, released version 4.00. The new version supports even more blog scripts, included WordPress. Plus, I found a solution of “Object Required” error for WordPress users.

This new version supports MovableType advanced post options and also support some new tools: WordPress, SquareSpace, b2evolution, Blog:CMS, UBlog, .Text, BlogWare and Xaraya. Check What’s New!

However, when I try to add my WordPress account, it return “Object Required” error… Luckily, I found a solution.

Bug: Object Required Error
For bloggers who are using WordPress version 1.2.2, please replace the xmlrpc.php file with the one in WordPress 1.2.1(from Sourceforge). Link to Sourceforge WordPress XMLRPC

Thought:
w.bloggar is the very first blogging tool that I were using, it is extremely easy to use. But it did not support WordPress and custom trackback at the time (My mistake. the trackback is not work for WordPress.)

Now w.bloggar 4.00 supports WordPress, custom trackback and multiple categories! Great!

I don’t know… Maybe I will not blog from WordPress web editor anymore. :)

The underline is INSERT tag, usually use after the DELETE tag.
