My mom starts using iTalk (Malaysia IDD call) recently to make long distance calls to my dad. Using iTalk is much cheaper than standard calls. I usually purchase iTalk reload via Maybank2u online banking. But it failed today.

The payment was successful but when Maybank2u redirected me to Katprepaid — a Malaysia online prepaid reload website — for the iTalk PIN, the Katprepaid website failed to load.

So, I paid for the iTalk but did not get the PIN.

I checked Katprepaid website. It is operated by Kat Technologies Sdn Bhd and hosted by Emarge System Sdn Bhd. The webserver appears to be down. The conection to HTTP service is failed and returned “Unrecognized HTTP error” [via Alertra].

I called Maybank2U customer support. They can’t help much, they can only file a report on my behave. Today is Sunday, not a working day. I have to wait until tomorrow or the day after tomorrow to have the issue resolved.

Update: I got the PIN before the TM support called me in the afternoon. Previously, I copied the URL of the Katprepaid popup window into notepad. Surprisingly, it did not expired.
