WiredTree, who host our VPS, sent a notice regarding a scheduled hardware note upgrade on Friday, January 4th, 2013 between the hours of 12:01AM to 5AM CST (2:00pm – 8:00pm Malaysia time).

It is an update to Virtuozzo, a server virtualization software, which will help provide better performance and reliability to web hosting service.

There will be a server downtime during the upgrade because the hardware note has to be rebooted.

In order to complete the upgrade the server will need to be taken down as the hardware node has to be rebooted. The upgrade should take no longer than 30 to 60 minutes to complete.

As a result, LiewCF Tech Blog and other websites hosted by me on same VPS will have a downtime up to an hour. Please follow me on Twitter and Facebook for latest tech news and tips.
