Wireless USB Flash Drives

Filed in: Gadgets — January 11th, 2005

We never expected this, but two of our favorite technologies – P2P and Wireless USB are about to rolled into one device thanks to Memsen’s Click n’ Share keychains. While providing the essential function of storing files as a USB flash drive, when two of these come within range of each other, wireless file sharing can take place between the two drives without any computer intervention. The keychains are also capable of interacting and downloading files such as product brochures from what Memsen calls the DataVendor, a Wireless USB enabled advertising display.

Thought:
Great for easy file sharing! Now we say “Flash the files to me”, instead of “Email me the file”. ;)

    Thanks LcF,

I see things moving in Memsen’s direction …. check out this link I found on Google Wireless Billboards. Basically, their goal is to connect people to products in stores through billboards … nice. My take is that the partner with Memsen to add a recripocal ability which is to connect the store, its products to a specific person as well. With Memsen’s technology they can add this … not only that … but, they can benefit from having Memsen’s Click n Share drives facilitate the transactions or atleast act as a catalyst for its success . All in all, 2007 … 2008 I see us moving into gear and going from concept to consumer …. like you said ….. in a flash!
