WordPress for Android 1.0 has been released. Now you can manage your WordPress blog on your Android phone (Google Nexus One?) while on the go.

The features included:

  • Configure and manage multiple blogs
  • Comment moderation including the ability to reply to comments
  • Create and Edit Posts including categories, tags and photos
  • Create and Edit Pages
  • Get notified of new comments in the Android notification bar

Tip: Click here to scan for Windows Registry Errors and Optimize PC performance

Here is the brief introduction video:

WordPress for Android is free download.

There are also WordPress app for iPhone and BlackBerry.

My two cents

I am an iPhone user but I don’t use the WordPress for iPhone because it is difficult to write HTML code without any shortcut keys.

I see the Android version has a few HTML shortcut buttons, that’s nice! Wish they will apply the UI to iPhone version soon!

Do you blog on your smartphone?

Although I use Android and have a blog, i think I'd still use a computer with a desktop browser to manage blog.
A mobile device is better for Twittering. :)

Yeah, because many people use PC or computer to manage all the things online.

While I don't own a blog that's on WP, I do write and post articles for clients who use WP as their blogging platform. So yes, I believe this is going to be a blogger's dream app.
