WordPress.com Introduce Sidebar Widgets
Filed in: Weblog, WordPress — March 14th, 2006The WordPress widget is not a Mac OS X widget. It is widget for WordPress themes. WordPress.com member can get it in their WordPress admin panels. Under “Presentation”, you will see an extra “Sidebar Editor” tab.

What does WordPress widgets do?
With WordPress widgets, you can easily change the sidebar elements and sort them. Besides some common sidebar elements, now you can add rss feeds, del.icio.us bookmark, and your own text into the sidebar.
It is completely done in the WordPress admin, no file editing needed (which is what we are doing now).
My two cents
WordPress widget is cool! I wish the API will be ported to WordPress soon!
